I just sow this movie the other day and I was in total amazment. I have to say very cool great visuals and secret symbology. very Gnostic

Thu, August 9, 2007 - 2:26 PMIt's one of my favorites. Darren Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors.
It goes without saying that the film is quite religious, but it ties together a lot of different religions and beliefs. On one hand you have the Mayans, and then the Christian queen and their mission, but that's just the obvious stuff. Darren is Jewish, I figure that's worth mentioning. Anyway, I love it. :) -

Wed, October 15, 2008 - 7:56 AMThis is one of my favorite films. Get it on DVD & you start picking up little things, esp the way D uses lighting to give insight into the characters. I'm not sure Gnosticism is a foremost concern to D, but, the influences are there.
